About Us

We are a small family run importer based in the border towns of Albury and Wodonga.

We are a family that raced, Brett also raced BMX and also did BMX Freestyle in the 80's and for a few years when we returned to the sport with my kids I raced from 2007 to 2012. I hung up my bike to focus on my kids and the teams I manage, I was also having trouble with injuries from the 80's when I moved from race to freestyle BMX. I am also a qualified Level 1 Coach.

In 2008 we started OzBMX Central opened our first Pro Shop and store in Canberra as well as starting our first race team with Felt Bikes. 2009 saw a move for our team to GHP, in 2010 saw the new branding of BMX EDGE and to opening of our second race team. 2011 our GHP team moved to Chase and the new import deal with the BRG Group to better support our team riders and to better reflect our new direction. 2012 saw us make the move to start importing DoubleCross bikes and now the move to focus more on the import and distribution side of the industry from 2014. We were also able to add Onyx Racing Products to our import and distribution side of the business in 2014. In 2016 we became the Australian Distributors for Staats BMX and Ciari Parts, 2017 has also seen the LEAD Racewear brand added to our distribution range. In 2018 we also decided to Start our own Australian Based BMX brand Tempo BMX.

We manage one factory team of four riders and two grassroots teams (Factory Staats Australia, Staats National Team Australia and the BMX Edge Racing Team) giving us over 60 riders (and growing) under our management from Mini Wheelers to Junior Elite and Senior Elite riders. making us one of the largest sponsors and supporters of BMX in Australia, all of this from one of the smallest BMX businesses in the industry. The main focus of BMX Edge has always been to give as much back to the Sport as we can.

We also sponsor/support events, clubs, ACT BMXA State Team, Retro/Old school Racing and have run a BMX community forum since January 2008. Sadly in 2014 we closed the OzBMXcentral forum as this forum was now out of date and we could see the use of updating the site with other social media channels now being more effective.

Support those that support your sport here in Australia and keep your sport and the local industry alive.  Without the riders there is no sport, without the support of the riders there is no local industry, without the local industry there is no sponsorship or support for our riders, clubs and events.
